Trish Lopez

Day 1, Breakout Session 3: Your Power to Innovate Social Change

Abstract:  Are you willing to embarrass yourself to make change happen? Through real-world examples and her own journey from adversity to entrepreneurship to social change, Trish will inspire you to consider your passion, your power, and your willingness to question convention – creating support for those who dare to think differently –and are willing to look foolish–for the benefit of our world.

Lopez is a native New Mexican who has worked professionally with everyone from Hollywood executives to political leaders. After 13 years in the film industry, she returned to her home state of NM in 2015 and created Teeniors® (tech-savvy teens helping senior citizens learn technology) after seeing her own mom struggle to adapt to the digital world. In 2021 she led a public push to reform New Mexico judicial campaigns which helped NM become the first state in the U.S. to offer public financing for district court judges.

As a mother, mentor, graduate of UNM, and supporter of numerous social causes, Lopez's primary interest is bringing people together from different backgrounds to create change in our world.
