With the opening of 828 Studios and a potential 35% tax incentive for filmmakers, Las Cruces has seen an uptick in production.  This trend will positively affect education and employment in our area.

Elizabeth Teeters is the new Economic Development Director for the City of Las Cruces. She was previously the Business Development Administrator and an Economic Development Coordinator within the department.

She has been with the City for four years and before having assumed her current position and responsibilities in the Economic Development Department, she was the City’s Policy Analyst.

Elizabeth’s husband recently retired from the US Air Force, which moved them to Las Cruces right before she started working for the City. She previously lived in Missouri for four years and worked for a Regional Planning Commission, first as a County Economic Developer, then as the Executive Director.
